On this rainy day I created a free eCard for Father’s Day as I’m a Photoshop junkie. Went for a vintage/retro feel with font that reminded me of an old speakeasy. To use the card, simply download it to your computer by clicking on the thumbnail below. The gallery will load, right-click on the image and choose “save as”. Using your favorite email program send it out as an attachment or placed inside the message to all the dads you know. Hope you enjoy!

Tonight’s artistic adventure took me into Photoshop land, where I digitally danced with trees, leaves and then settled on an owl. Now I will share that I’m not a bird person, however the owl fascinates me lately and I think in addition to my collection of Hello Kitty (did I mention I’m a HK addict????) I want to start collecting owls. Check out my design:

Recently I purchased myself 2 new presents: a graphics tablet and a new 17 inch laptop. It’s a great feeling to sit downstairs, and design while watching TV, something my office lacks. Tonight’s project is a photo I took in Febuary of a tree at Lake Sacajawea, Longview, WA. Using my new “toys” I created an oil painting. Hooray it’s here! The same week I purchased my iPad, I ordered my first Gelaskin, Enamored Owl, from a talented artist in Portland OR, Alberto Cerriteno and have been eagerly awaiting for it to arrive. This has been my first order from Gelaskins, and the skin comes with 3M logos on the back of the paper sheets, so I’m confident it’s sturdy. Only complaint I had was it seemed a bit off size wise even after repositioning, but I always didn’t want to stretch the skin. Now with the skin done, my next techno-project is locating a carrying case to match.
